70% of all grain traded in and out of Malawi go through GTPA members.

Ms. Grace Mijiga Mhango is a seasoned agripreneur with 25+ years of experience working with farmers and traders in Malawi. As a champion of change, she has implemented donor-funded programs and founded organizations like Grain Traders and Processors Association (GTPA). With strong leadership skills, Ms. Mhango promotes sustainable agriculture, fair trade practices, and women's empowerment.

Flore-Annie Kamanga, born into a successful commercial farming family, brings a wealth of experience in agriculture and business to her role as a Board Member. With a diverse educational background and numerous certifications, she is a visionary leader committed to fostering economic opportunities and women's empowerment through innovative business solutions and capacity-building programs.

Alex Chikapula

CEO

Alexander Chikapula, GTPA's Acting CEO, brings over 24 years of experience in commercializing agricultural produce across domestic, regional, and international markets in Malawi. His extensive leadership roles in key agricultural organizations, including as Managing Director of 5 Queens Investments and General Manager of Nascomex, have equipped him with the strategic vision and hands-on expertise needed to guide GTPA in fostering growth and innovation within Malawi's grain trading and processing sector.

Isaac Chirwa

Board Member

Isaac Chirwa is a dedicated board member of the Grain Traders and Processors Association (GTPA) of Malawi, bringing a wealth of experience in agricultural trade and processing. His expertise has been instrumental in several key projects, including overseeing the production and supply of 750 food solar dryers to UNICEF and leading the execution of multiple high-value contracts with GIZ for supplying grains and legumes across various project districts in Malawi.

Board Member

Angela Nazombe Kaendera, a co-founder and Trustee of the Grain Traders & Processors Association, is an experienced Agripreneur involved in farming, trading, and value addition. As the CEO of Angelwings Ltd, established in 2004, Angela brings valuable business skills and a vision for commercial farming and economic growth to her role on the GTPA board.
